A Strong Focus on Java SIM Cards Interoperability

VirtuoSimo™ offers a serious and dedicated working environment of wireless application developers focusing on SIM based solutions. As an independent company, aiming to promote interoperability, Bantry Technologies has put a lot of efforts in achieving a truly interoperable platform, so that application developers and testers do not have to worry about which cards they are using. Developers who experienced high difficulties in working in a dedicated environment and which have decided to fill-in this gap by providing tools replying to concrete issues have conceived VirtuoSimo™. That is why VirtuoSimo™ offers simple and intuitive user interfaces called in a logical way.

Real Java SIM Card Connection

VirtuoSimo™ connects to any PC/SC-compliant card reader. This feature enables to see how Java SIM applet loaded on a real card reacts to the GSM handset simulator and SMS service. It enables the developer to make sure the applet conforms the specifications on the real hardware. It is also a way to test the applet against a test scenario in a real environment.

Additional Nice Features

In addition, VirtuoSimo™ mobile handset simulators offer a range of pre-loaded functionalities to help the users work in an environment as close as possible to the real world. These functionalities are:

  • The Phonebook applet allows editing of the information in the different phonebook files on the SIM card in a convenient fashion,
  • The Language selection applet allows setting the preferred languages and updates the related data on the SIM card,
  • The SMS Manager enables the user to compose, send and receive text messages while also supporting a folder metaphor to organise the messages stored on the SIM.
