VirtuoSimo™ Professional Edition enables the use of a real handset to check the interoperability of an applet according to a target handset and a real network. Experienced developers will undoubtedly confirm that testing an application on a simulated SIM card or even on a real SIM card does not suffice to qualify an applet. It is absolutely necessary to perform multiple brands and models handsets testing before reaching an acceptable level of validation. This operation is really fastidious simply because inserting and withdrawing the card from an handset is a time consuming operation (without mentioning the time to turn on and off the handset and actually debugging). In order to minimise time-to-market and save testing time and money costs, Bantry Technologies is the first company supplying a testing tool designed for developers and testers.

The Collis Smart Link Box enables the connection of a real handset to a PC through a probe connector. In the same time, a SIM card is inserted in a card reader. All data exchanges between the SIM card and the hanset are displayed in VirtuoSimo™, analysed and interpreted. VirtuoSimo™ Professional Edition also enables any development cards to be used in a real network. In that situation, the handset is connected to:

• A subscription card for the authentification with respect to the network.
  
  
• The development card for the other commands including the envelope and proactive exchanges.

This functionality ensures a predictable and effective series of tests across today’s range of mobile equipment and SIM cards.
