VirtuoSimo™ cares about SIM-Handset Interoperability
November 22, 2004
Sophia Antipolis, ETSI, France

Taking the most of the ETSI Plugtests Service focusing this year on the SIM / Handset interoperability, Bantry Technologies is delighted to announce that it will now extend the scope the VirtuoSimo™ towards the testing of SIM / Handset interoperability. In the very near future, VirtuoSimo™ Handset will respond to the challenge of test and qualification of mobile phones. Aiming at offering confidence to the handset manufacturers and mobile network operators, it will provide information on the handset compliance to the GSM 11.10-4 as well as on the possible incorrect behavior of SIM applets against given mobile equipments. A clear report will enable non-technical staff to understand where the issues lie and provide a label of compliancy as specified by the SIMalliance: SIMalliance Silver: required features present, SIMalliance Gold: recommended features present, SIMalliance Platinum: advanced features present.

VirtuoSimo™ goes S@T
November 2, 2004
Villepinte, Parc des Expositions, France

Bantry Technologies today unveiled the new strategic direction of VirtuoSimo™ at Cartes 2004. After having delivered an unrivalled quality within the SIM Toolkit arena, VirtuoSimo™ now takes a giant step forward by offering the possibility to easily create and load S@T scenarios into a S@T-enabled SIM card. The S@T micro-browser is an alternative to a WAP browser residing within the SIM card. Being defined by the SIMalliance VirtuoSimo™ S@T Edition provides the user with a user-friendly interface to write S@TML files. The tool then converts the files into S@T byte code and loads the resident decks onto the S@T SIM card. This functionality can be used for native as well as for Java SIM S@T cards. VirtuoSimo™ S@T Edition will be publicly available after the Cartes 2004 trade show.
